5 Tips for Success with PEACE PAWZ™
1. Make Sure Each Cat Has the Right Tag
Proper tag placement is essential for PEACE PAWZ™ to work correctly.
- Black Receiver Tag: Worn by the more aggressive cat.
- Gray Transmitter Tag: Worn by the less aggressive cat being targeted.
- Both tags must be present for the system to work.
- Attach the tags securely to the cats' collars, keeping them facing outward and unobstructed.
For households with three or more cats, see our Multi-Cat Households guidance.
2. Give Your Cats Time to Adjust
Some cats adapt to wearing PEACE PAWZ™ immediately, while others need a little time.
- Allow your cats to become comfortable wearing their new tags.
- Use properly fitted, cat-safe breakaway collars.
- Supervise your cats initially to make sure they're comfortable.
- Never force a frightened or uncomfortable cat to wear a tag.
3. Create a Positive Environment
PEACE PAWZ™ works best as part of a calm, supportive home environment.
- Provide separate feeding areas, comfortable beds, and sufficient litter boxes.
- Give each cat its own space to rest and escape unwanted attention.
- Reward peaceful interactions with praise, affection, or occasional treats.
- Reducing stress and competition can help encourage better behavior.
4. Be Patient and Watch for Progress
Don't expect an overnight transformation. Changing established behaviors takes time.
- Some cats may improve quickly, while others may need weeks or months.
- Look for small victories, such as less chasing, fewer confrontations, or peacefully sharing a room.
- Continue encouraging positive interactions without forcing your cats together.
- Remember that every cat is different, and results will vary.
5. Always Put Your Cats' Well-Being First
PEACE PAWZ™ is designed to gently discourage unwanted interactions, not frighten or punish your cats.
- Continue supervising your cats and monitoring their behavior.
- Stop using the tags if either cat becomes frightened, distressed, or more aggressive.
- Serious fights require separation and careful reintroduction.
- Persistent aggression should be discussed with your veterinarian or a qualified feline behavior specialist.
Remember: PEACE PAWZ™ is a tool to help encourage peaceful interactions. It's not a substitute for proper supervision, environmental enrichment, or professional behavioral care.
